If you are interested in commissioning me for custom work for your home or business, or simply buy a bronze sculpture or a painting, please contact me.  I accept commissions for original pieces on a case-by-case basis.  Most of the time it takes about 3 months for the piece to be delivered.  Of course, everything depends on the piece; size, difficulty level and the schedule.

I can assist you from the initial concept through all the design phases.  A quote is given for each piece, 50% down payment is required, and the other 50% is collected upon completion.  I live in Dallas, TX, so if you live in New York, you will be responsible for shipment of your piece unless otherwise specified.

I am able to sculpt anything in any genre.  My current project is this bronze tortoise sculpture.  His name is Henry, he's 30" at the top of his shell and he's far more impressive in reality then he is on pictures.  He's an original, straight out of my head... it's a series of 7; all are signed and dated and have their own series number engraved into the bronze.  The next project is an art nouveau sculpture of a woman; inspired by a fireplace mantel I designed for Trammell Crow.  If you found this site helpful and interesting, please tell a friend.

First the skeleton, then the body, shaping, re-shaping, sculpting, re-sculpting, changing mind as to what it should look like, pulling off head and re-sculpting again, finally, adding skin texture to the turtle.  The second phase is to make a mold and a mother mold (to hold the mold of the tortoise in place), which ten will be used to cast the wax pieces from. The third phase is to pull the waxes out of this mold and chase them out.  After that the foundry will make an investment (another mold,) which will be used to melt the wax pieces out, leaving a negative; that’s where the hot liquefied bronze will go and after cooling down it will become a solid metal piece again.  The next phase is to break up the investment, weld all the tortoise pieces together, clean it all up and put the texture back to where the weld marks are and polish it.  After that I put on a nice patina on the tortoise and you will have a very awesome work of art in your back yard.  The End. ... well... almost check it all out in my Henry the Tortoise picture diary

Oh, and you may find this interesting:

The tortoise, from beginning... consists of:  wood, a few screws, Styrofoam, hard foam, 200lb of clay...(That's almost 300lb of weight for the sculpture itself)  Then, lets add about 90lb of rubber for the mold, and approximately 500lb, or so, of plaster/reinforcement fiber mix) for a grand total of about 900lb of STUFF.... after that, actual finished art piece is over 400 lbs of bronze... and people wonder why cool toys cost so much... hehehe
